NOTICE OF SALE OF REAL PROPERTY IN YAZOO CITY, YAZOO COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Yazoo City Municipal School District (the "District") has declared certain real property, the improvements thereon, and its contents in Yazoo City, Mississippi, being the old Yazoo City Junior High building, surplus property and has authorized the sale of same as provided in Miss. Code Ann. § 37-7-455. The property to be sold is described as: Lots 584, 585, 586 and 587 of Yazoo City, Mississippi. The above-described property being part the same property as described in the deed recorded in Deed Book 261 A at Page 711 and Book RS, Page 248 on file and of record in the aforesaid Chancery Clerk's office (the "Property"). Terms of sale will be for cash based upon the highest and best bid and the successful bidder must close on the Property within fifteen (15) days of acceptance of any bid by the District. Bids must be submitted on official bid forms that may be obtained from the Office of the Superintendent of Education, Attention: Dr. Earl Watkins, Interim Superintendent, 1133 Calhoun Ave., Yazoo City, MS 39194, telephone (662) 746-2125. Bids that are not submitted on the official bid form may be rejected for non-compliance with the bid specifications. Bids will be received in the Office of the Superintendent of Education until 2:00 o'clock p.m. on January 9, 2026. A minimum bid of thirty-eight thousand eight hundred dollars ($38,800.00) is required. Bids must be accompanied by bid security earnest money in the form of a certified check made payable to the Yazoo City Municipal School District. The Property is being sold AS IS WHERE IS with all faults and contents therein. The District makes no representation or warranty as to title, structural condition, environmental condition, fitness for purpose, whatsoever and shall relinquish any interest it may own in the Property via Quitclaim Deed. If the real property is not sold pursuant to this advertisement, the District reserves the right to sell said property by auction for consideration of not less than the highest sealed bid previously received as provided in Miss.
