COTTRELLVILLE TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING
Wednesday, July 8, 2026 Called to order at 6:30 PM. Present: Supervisor Abbey, Clerk Brelinski, Trustee Bosel, and Trustee Rients. Absent: Treasurer DiStefano.
Approved on the Consent Agenda: June 24, 2026 Regular Meeting minutes; Treasurer's Report (April 2026); Accounts Payable totaling $261,792.23; St. Clair County Sheriff's Department runs report (January–June 2026); June Marine City Area Fire Authority runs.
Guest Speaker: Captain Pohl, St. Clair County Sheriff's Office, provided a quarterly department update.
Approved Business Items: Township Park signage; Forster Blue Water Oil Service Program; Resolution #R-2026-15 opposing changes to the SCC Animal Control Ordinance; parking lot striping; reimbursement for the Hoods, Tunes & Brews website; utility billing adjustment; first-quarter FY 2026-2027 budget amendment; Resolution #R-2026-17 establishing a Construction Board of Appeals including appointments.
Tabled Items: Resolution #R-2026-12 regarding the Public Social Media Communication and Website/Social Media Use Policy; final FY 2025-2026 budget amendments.
Announcements: Public comments included a $1,000 donation to future Parks and Recreation events and discussion regarding future Shoreline Park development, with the Board noting that planning will follow the Master Plan process and DNR grant requirements and that the public will be kept informed.
