NOTICE - PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE is hereby given that the Fayetteville City Council will hold a public hearing in the City Council Chamber, 1st Floor of City Hall, 433 Hay Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301, on June 8, 2026, beginning at 6:30 pm, or as soon thereafter as may be heard on the following:
In accordance with North Carolina General Statute §158-7.1(c), the purpose of the hearing is to receive public comments on a proposed Economic Development Incentive being considered for "Project Odesa," a United States-headquartered company that is considering a 28,479 square-foot building on Dedication Drive, for a new headquarters and manufacturing facility.
The project shall (1) create more than 162 full-time jobs in the City by 2028 with an average wage exceeding $70,759 and where (2) all incentivized positions will pay a salary exceeding the County's current private sector median wage of $49,382. The City's proposed incentive offer consists of a job creation incentive grant, not to exceed $121,500, and will be paid on a pro-rata basis in three installments. The City will recover the cost and the public will benefit through future property and business taxes, stimulation of the economy, promotion of business, and the creation of new jobs in the City of Fayetteville.
Individuals desiring to speak must sign up before 5:00 p.m. on the scheduled public hearing date with the City Clerk, located on the third floor of City Hall, 433 Hay Street, by phone at 910-433-1989, by email at CityClerk@FayettevilleNC.gov, or via the City website www.fayettevillenc.gov under "Get Involved".
The Public Hearing will be open for a period not to exceed 30 minutes, with each side of the issue allowed up to 15 minutes; citizens will be permitted 3 minutes each to address the City Council.
