NOTICE Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:49-2(a) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Township Council of the Township of Bridgewater in the County of Somerset at a meeting held on December 3, 2025, introduced and passed on first reading an ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF BRIDGEWATER AMENDING SECTION 126 OF THE BRIDGEWATER TOWNSHIP CODE, REPEALING AND REPLACING SECTION 126-321.10 TITLED "AH-3 AFFORDABLE HOUSING ZONE" ALLOWING FOR ELEVEN 100% AFFORDABLE MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT UNITS AND FOUR DISABLED VETERANS HOUSING UNITS PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE FAIR HOUSING ACT AND ANY UNIFORM HOUSING AND AFFORDABILITY CONTROLS ON BLOCK 406, LOT 2.01 This ordinance repeals and replaces the existing Section 126-321.10, establishing the AH-3 Affordable Housing Zone specifically for Block 406, Lot 2.01, to facilitate the development of affordable housing in accordance with the Township's Master Plan Re-examination Report and Fair Share obligations. The primary goal is to permit a single development entity consisting of up to eleven 100% affordable multi-family residential units and four units of disabled veteran housing. TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that said ordinance will be further considered for final passage on December 17, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. or soon thereafter at a meeting of the Township Council to be held at 100 Commons Way, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. All persons interested shall be given an opportunity at that time to be heard concerning said ordinance. Any member of the general public may obtain, without cost, a copy of the entire ordinance from the Municipal Clerk at the Bridgewater Township Municipal Building, 100 Commons Way, during normal business hours (9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday) at any time up to and including the time when the Township Council shall further consider this ordinance for final passage.
