NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS HONONEGAH DRYWELL REPLACEMENT HONONEGAH COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT 207 WINNEBAGO COUNTY, ILLINOIS Proposals are now being accepted for the Hononegah Drywell Replacement project within the Village of Rockton, Illinois. Improvements include Pavement Removal, Drywell Removal, Manholes, Storm Drain lines, Sump Pump Installation, wiring and discharge piping, and installation of Power Supply with Battery Backup System. Each proposal must be accompanied by the Contractor's Certificate of Eligibility, a certified check, cashiers check, or bid bond, payable to the Hononegah Community High School District 207 for the amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the proposal. All bidders shall note the following: (1) construction monies will be drawn from local funds on hand; (2) the successful contractor will be paid on a monthly basis according to the approved estimate of completed work; (3) the School District strongly urges all contractors to employ the use of local subcontractors, suppliers, and trades as much as possible for this contract. Labor rates shall be in accordance with the General Prevailing Rate of Wages for Winnebago County, Illinois, and which are on file in the Office of the Department of Labor, Springfield, Illinois. Such rates shall be paid for all laborers, workman, or tradesman performing work under this contract. The School District reserves the right to reject any or all bids on each proposal, and to waive any information therein or to accept any proposal considered in the best interest of the School District. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids without written consent of the School District for a period of forty five (45) days after the scheduled time of opening of bids. A Pre-bid meeting is scheduled for April 27th at 10:00am at the Hononegah High School to allow Contractors the opportunity to review the site, electrical maintenance room, and ask any questions regarding the project. The Pre-bid meeting is recommended but not required to be attended. Bids shall be received at the office of C.E.S. Inc., 700 W. Locust Street, Belvidere, IL 61008, until 10:00 A.M. on May 1st, 2026 at which time the bids will be opened and read aloud.
