NOTICE TO RECEIVE SEALED BIDS
TOWN OF WAUSAU CDBG-MIT / DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS
The Town of Wausau will receive sealed bids from any qualified person, company or corporation interested in providing construction services for This project consists of reconstructing Oid Drive from Finch Circle to the dead end and Cora Lane from Finch Circle to the dead end. Scope of services include reconstruction of the base and paving on top of the new base. Two lanes will be constructed, each being 9' wide with 2' wide sodded shoulders on each side. Thermoplastic striping and installation of raised pavement markers are included as well as updating all necessary signage. This project is funded with Community Development Block Grant Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) funds through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and through the Florida Department of Commerce (formerly DEO) and awarded to the Town of Wausau under CDBG-MIT agreement MT138 for recovery from Hurricane Michael and to harden the Town's potable water facilities against the impacts of future storms.
Plans and specifications can be obtained at Dewberry Engineers Inc. Electronic PDF copies of the Plans and Specifications may be obtained at no cost by emailing the project engineer at jsims@dewberry.com, and requesting bid documents for "Wausau CDBG-MIT - MT138". Printed sets of the Plans and Specifications may be obtained at the office of Dewberry Engineers, Inc. at 20684 Central Avenue East, Blountstown, Florida 32424. The cost for hard copies of the Plans and Specifications will be $25.00 per set and is non-refundable. Checks should be made payable to DEWBERRY ENGINEERS INC.

Completion date for this project will be 120 days from the date of the Notice to Proceed presented to the successful bidder. Liquidated damages for failure to complete the project on the specified date will be set at $1,000.00 per day.
Please indicate on the envelope that this is a sealed bid, for "Wausau CDBG-MIT - MT138". Bids will be received until 10:00 AM (CST) on February 9, 2026 at the Town of Wausau, 1607 Second Avenue, Wausau, FL 32463 or P.O. Box 39, and will be opened and read aloud on February 10, 2026 at 10:05 AM (CST). The Bid will be awarded to the lowest, most responsive and responsible bidder. The Town of Wausau reserves the right to reject any and all bids. All Bids shall remain firm for a period of sixty days after the opening.
All bidders shall comply with all applicable Federal, State and local laws concerning licensing registration and regulation of contractors doing business to the State of Florida. This project is federally funded and must be implemented in compliance with all federal requirements, including but not limited to Davis-Bacon, Anti-Kickback, Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, Section 3, and 2 CFR 200.
RESPONSIBLE VENDOR DETERMINATION
The bid must conform to Section 287.133(3) Florida Statutes, on public entity crimes. Respondents are hereby notified that Section 287.05701, Florida Statutes, requires that the Town may not request documentation of or consider a vendor's social, political, or ideological interests when determining if the vendor is a responsible vendor.
