OKLAHOMA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY TIER II NOTICE OF FILING A Tier II application for a Renewal OPDES permit to discharge industrial wastewater has been filed with the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) by Oklahoma Gas and Electric Company, P.O. Box 321 Oklahoma City, OK 73101-0321. The applicant requests a permit to discharge wastewater from their Horseshoe Lake Generating Station-Units #9 & 10 facility, located in the NW¼ & NE¼, NW¼, SE¼, Section 15, T12N, R1E, EIM, Oklahoma, or at 19801 NE. 36th Street, Harrah, OK 73045. The discharge, which will consist of Cooling Tower Blowdown, will be to Horseshoe Lake, in the NE1/4, NW1/4, SE1/4, Section 15, Township 12N, Range 1EIM Oklahoma Co., Oklahoma, Oklahoma. The permit, if issued, would establish effluent limitations on the discharge. The application may be reviewed at 1930 Church Avenue, Harrah, OK 73045. After reviewing the application the DEQ will prepare either a draft permit or draft denial. At that time, notice of the prepared draft will be made by the Department and the public will be given the opportunity to review it, submit written comments, or request a public meeting within thirty days.
