The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) has received a Biohazardous Medical Waste Facility Plan Amendment Application for the Stryker Sustainability Solutions, Inc. biohazardous medical waste storage and transfer facility. The proposed amendment seeks to expand current operations by incorporating treatment processes into the existing storage and transfer facility, officially reclassifying the site as a permitted biohazardous medical waste treatment facility. The facility is located at 6635 W. Frye Rd., Chandler, AZ, 85226. This notice commences a 30-day written public comment period from June 05, 2026, through July 05, 2026. Stryker Sustainability Solutions, Inc will receive biohazardous medical waste for storage, transfer, and treatment. The biohazardous medical waste will be treated using an ozone treatment system. Once treated, the shredded and sterilized waste will be disposed of at an approved disposal facility.
