Public Hearing New Sewickley Twp Zoning Hearing Board
The New Sewickley Township Zoning Hearing Board will convene for a public hearing on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, beginning at 6:30 P.M., at the New Sewickley Township Municipal Building, located at 233 Miller Road Rochester, Pennsylvania 15074. The purpose of this hearing is to take testimony in consideration of the application made by Amy A. Nicely for a dimensional variance request related to the non-permitted construction of a detached accessory residential garage that was completed at 1300 Penn Avenue Freedom, PA 15042, and further identified as Tax Parcel No. 69-015-0702.000. The application for a variance notes a separation distance of 7.6' between the already-constructed garage and the existing single-family dwelling. §502.C.1 of the New Sewickley Township Zoning Ordinance No. 208, as amended, states that "…no accessory structure shall be erected within ten feet (10') of any other structure…" The location of the already-constructed garage is noncompliant with this regulation and, therefore, the applicant is seeking relief to allow for the Zoning Permit, which was submitted after construction was completed, to be approved.
