The Cottrellville Township Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at the Township Hall at 7008 Marsh Rd, Cottrellville, MI 48039 to consider the request of Mark Morse, on behalf of the property owner, Dan Barrett, for Parcel ID 74-17-758-0076-000, known as 7793 River Rd.
The applicant respectfully requests a variance from Section 132.1404 of the Cottrellville Township Zoning Ordinance to allow the construction of an accessory structure exceeding the maximum permitted height of sixteen (16) feet at the highest point of the roof surface. The proposed structure will be of a height of twenty (20) feet with attic storage space.
Members of the public are invited to speak in support of or in opposition to this request during the public hearing. Written comments will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 5, 2026 at the Township Hall, Attention: Clerk, 7008 Marsh, Cottrellville Township, MI 48039. Application materials are available for review during normal business hours.
