PUBLIC HEARING (S) ON
PROPOSED ENACTMENT ORDINANCE(S)
The City Commission of the City of Daytona Beach will meet and hold public hearings on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., in the Commission Chambers, Room 290, City Hall, 301 South Ridgewood Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida. The proposed Ordinance(s) listed by title below will be considered for final adoption. The public may inspect the proposed Ordinance(s) at the City Clerk's Office, Room 210, City Hall, 301 South Ridgewood Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida. All interested parties may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed Ordinance(s). Any person who decides to appeal any decision made by the City Commission will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose, he/she may need to ensure, at his/her own expense, the taking and preparation of a verbatim record of all testimony and evidence of the proceeding upon which the appeal is to be based.
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), persons needing a special accommodation to participate in the Commission proceedings should contact the City Clerk's Office not later than three (3) days prior to the proceedings at 386-671-8023.
The title(s) of the proposed Ordinance(s) are as follows:
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING INTO THE CITY OF DAYTONA BEACH, 1.71+ ACRES OF LAND GENERALLY LOCATED ALONG THE WEST SIDE OF SOUTH NOVA ROAD, SOUTH OF JUNE TERRACE AND NORTH OF THE CARRIAGE COVE MOBILE HOME COMMUNITY; REDEFINING THE TERRITORIAL BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF DAYTONA BEACH TO INCLUDE THE PROPERTY; REDESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF ZONE 1 OF THE CITY OF DAYTONA BEACH TO INCLUDE THE PROPERTY; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A SMALL SCALE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 163.3187, FLORIDA STATUTES, WITH REGARD TO 1.7+ ACRES OF PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED ALONG THE WEST SIDE OF SOUTH NOVA ROAD, SOUTH OF JUNE TERRACE AND NORTH OF THE CARRIAGE COVE MOBILE HOME COMMUNITY; AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP DESIGNATION FOR THIS PROPERTY FROM COUNTY URBAN MEDIUM INTENSITY (UMI) TO CITY RETAIL (R); AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE ELEMENT, NEIGHBORHOOD O DEVELOPMENT POLICY TO LIMIT DEVELOPMENT TO VEHICLE STORAGE, WAREHOUSING, AND SELF-STORAGE RELATED USES COMPATIBLE WITH THE SURROUNDING COMMERCIAL AND LIGHT INDUSTRIAL CORRIDOR.; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE TO REZONE 1.7± ACRES OF PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED ALONG THE WEST SIDE OF SOUTH NOVA ROAD, SOUTH OF JUNE TERRACE AND NORTH OF THE CARRIAGE COVE MOBILE HOME COMMUNITY, FROM UNINCORPORATED VOLUSIA COUNTY GENERAL INDUSTRIAL (GI) TO CITY BUSINESS AUTOMOTIVE (BA); REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
