Public Note Public Notice Intent to apply for funding BRIDGES, in cooperation with the New York Metropolitan Regional Transportation Council, intends to submit an application for capital assistance to provide transportation to seniors and individuals with disabilities pursuant to the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Section 5310 – Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Program. BRIDGES will request funding for the acquisition of two small (8, 12, or 16)-passenger vans equipped with wheelchair lifts, for use in providing transportation to and from medical appointments within the Rockland County region. The estimated value of the FTA grant is $132,000, which represents 80% of the estimated total cost of the vehicles.
