PLEASE TAKE NOTICE:
That William Scott and Rachel Scott have applied to the Borough of Point Pleasant Zoning Board of Adjustment for bulk variance approval to construct a 2-story addition as well as a second story addition over the existing dwelling. This property is located in the R-1A zone at 228 Paulison Avenue, Point Pleasant, New Jersey, also known as Block 12, Lot 25 as shown on the official tax map of the Borough of Point Pleasant.
The Applicant seeks the following variances and/or design waivers for relief from the following requirements:
Lot area 3,500 sq. ft. existing/proposed, whereas 5,000 sq. ft. required; front yard setback 21.9' existing/proposed, whereas 25' required; covered porch setback 18.87' proposed, whereas 19' required; side yard setback 4.9' existing/proposed, whereas 5' required; rear yard setback 11.8' existing/proposed, whereas 25' required; building coverage 35.41% proposed, whereas 30% permitted;
The applicant may seek additional variances and/or waivers and exceptions or interpretations as required by law or the Borough of Point Pleasant Zoning Board of Adjustment including but not limited for re-approval and/or reaffirmation of any and all other relief that may have been granted in any prior applications.
This application will be heard by the Borough of Point Pleasant Zoning Board of Adjustment at a public meeting on August 12, 2026 in the Council Chambers at 2233 Bridge Avenue, Point Pleasant, New Jersey. The meeting will commence at 7:00pm at which time you may appear either in person or by an attorney and present any objection or questions you may have to the granting of this application. The application and supporting documents of this application are on file with the Zoning Board of Adjustment Secretary and may be inspected by you during regular business hours of the Borough of Point Pleasant 2233 Bridge Avenue, Point Pleasant, New Jersey.
