("Veolia") filed an application (the "Application") with the Commission seeking approval for an increase in its water base rates and certain changes to its water tariff. In its Application, Veolia seeks an increase in annual operating revenues of $15,917,913, or an increase of 44.51% over existing base rates. The proposed increase includes $350,000 of existing Distribution System Improvement Charge ("DSIC") which will be rolled into base rates. On June 4, 2025, a Commission hearing examiner conducted an in-person and virtual public comment session for the purpose of taking public comment regarding the Application. An evidentiary hearing regarding the Application is scheduled to be held January 27, 2026, January 28, 2026, January 29, 2026, January 30, 2026 and February 2, 2026. Each party to this proceeding will have the right to present evidence including through witness testimony. This hearing will be open to the public but only parties and the sole intervenor in the docket will be entitled to be heard. After the hearing, the Parties will present written arguments to the Hearing Examiner who will then issue a recommendation to the Commission. The Commission will thereafter make its decision on this matter on the basis of the record evidence taken at that hearing. The Commission may approve or reject, in whole or in part, and Hearing Examiner recommendation, and may approve a different method for allocating any increase that it may grant.
