Public Notice of Intent to Apply Transportation providers and other interested parties are hereby notified that TRA Group, Inc., 487 E. Main St #218, Mt Kisco, NY 10549, is applying for a federal grant of up to $5,000,000, under Section 5310 of Chapter 53 of Title 49, United States Code, for mobility management, volunteer ride management, backup livery service, vehicle operating assistance, and expansion within Westchester and Putnam Counties to meet the needs of elderly individuals and individuals with disabilities traveling to medical and non-medical destinations with or without wheelchairs. Through its accredited call center, TRA Group also proposes to expand verified information about transportation and other services for older adults and adults with disabilities in Westchester, Putnam, and Rockland Counties. The purpose of this notice is to invite private for-profit bus, taxi, ambulette operators and other interested parties to participate in the development of proposed grant project(s) and in the provision of enhanced transportation services to elderly individuals and individuals with disabilities.
