PUBLIC NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND PROPOSED ENACTMENT
Notice of a Public Hearing is hereby given pursuant to the provisions
of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (Act 247 and 170, as amended), Guilford Township Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance (99-1, as amended), and Guilford Township Zoning Ordinance (No. 97-8, as amended). The purpose of said Public Hearing is for the Guilford Township Board of Supervisors to receive comments and consider approval of the following
1. Application 2026-01-CU submitted by Brim LLC, 95 Brim Boulevard, Chambersburg, PA 17201 for Conditional Use approval. As required by Section 3.3.C.1 of the Guilford Township Zoning Ordinance, the applicant is requesting to use the provisions of Zoning Ordinance Section 3.7 (VO) Village Overlay District to develop approximately 15 acres within the 'Summerbridge at Falling Spring' housing development. This project is along the south side of Falling Spring Road near the Falling Spring Road/Quarry Road intersection on Franklin County Tax Parcels 10-0D04.-206.-000000 and 10-0D04.-208.-000000. These properties are zoned (R2) Medium–Density Residential.
2. Guilford Township will consider amending Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance Article 5, Sections 513.D.1, 513.D.2, 513.D.4, and 513.D.8 by replacing the contents of these four subsections.
3. Guilford Township will consider the following Zoning Ordinance amendments: A. Article 2, Section 203, add definitions for "Accessory Battery Energy Storage System (ABESS)", "Data Center", "Electric Vehicle Charging Station", and "Principal Battery Energy Storage Systems (PBESS)"; B. Article 3, add Sections 3.5.A.30 and 3.5.A.31; C. Article 7, add Sections 7.19, 7.20, 7.21.
A copy of Conditional Use application 2026-01-CU and the proposed amendments to the Guilford Township Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance, and the Guilford Township Zoning Ordinance may be viewed in the Zoning Office at the Guilford Township Municipal Building, 115 Spring Valley Road, Chambersburg, PA during normal business hours. The Public Hearing and Proposed Enactment are scheduled for Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 6:00 P.M. at the Guilford Township Municipal Building, 115 Spring Valley Road, Chambersburg, PA.
