Public Notice
The City of Covington Public Works Department hereby gives notice of the City's intent to revise the flood hazard information, generally located between Madison Pike (KY Highway 17) and Pienza Way, generally along Tuscanyview Drive, in the City of Covington, Kenton County, KY. The flood hazard revisions are being proposed as part of Conditional Letter of Map Revision (CLOMR) Case No. 24-04-7829R for a proposed project along Holds Branch. The Kenton County Board of Education is proposing to build a driveway over Holds Branch using an arched precast concrete culvert.
Once the project has been completed, a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) request should be submitted that will, in part, revise the following flood hazards along Holds Branch.
Base Flood Elevations (BFEs) will increase, decrease, and be established along Holds Branch.
The SFHA will increase, decrease, and be established along Holds Branch.
Maps and detailed analysis of the revision can be reviewed at the City of Covington Public Works Department located at 1730 Russell Street, Covington, KY 41011. Interested persons may call Bill Matteoli at 859-292-2292 for additional information from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM prior to October 3, 2025.
