PUBLIC NOTICE
Please take notice that Lumberton Family Phase 2, LLC ("Applicant") has filed an application for development with the Township of Lumberton Land Development Board ("Board") regarding real property located at 1788 Route 38 and designated as block 22, lot 8.03 on the municipal tax map. Lot 8.03 contains approximately 7.22 acres and is currently improved with 70 affordable housing units, a clubhouse and recreational facilities known as Cornerstone at Lumberton ("Phase I"). The Board granted preliminary and final major site plan approval for Phase I on June 2, 2018. The Applicant now returns to the Board seeking preliminary and final major site plan approval to construct two additional buildings containing an additional 28 affordable apartment units in two buildings in an existing affordable multifamily community, along with associated site improvements ("Phase II"). These site improvements include 51 additional parking spaces, landscaping, lighting and stormwater management facilities. The existing development has shared facilities such as playground, open space and trash/recycling facilities.
The Applicant does not require any known variances in connection with this application. The Applicant requests any variances, submission waivers, exceptions, design waivers, de minimis exceptions, interpretations, modifications of conditions of prior approvals, continuation of any preexisting non-conforming conditions, conditional use approval, other approvals reflected on the plans (as same may be further amended or revised from time to time without further notice) as may be determined to be necessary during the review and processing of the application by the Board and its professional staff, and permits requested or required by the Board at the public hearing.
This application shall be considered by the Board at a public hearing on November 13, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. in-person in the Township of Lumberton Municipal Complex, 35 Municipal Drive, Lumberton, New Jersey, at which time you may appear either in person or through an attorney and present any objection that you may have to the granting of this application. A copy of the application and supporting documentation is on file in the Board's offices located at 35 Municipal Drive, Lumberton, New Jersey and is available for public inspection during regular business days and hours.
