Public Notice Project: Redevelopment of the Rockford Products Manufacturing Complex, 2720 Kishwaukee St. and 711 Harrison Ave., Rockford, IL. State Agency: Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) SHPO Log #: 051050124 In accordance with the Illinois State Agency Historic Resources Preservation Act (20 ILCS 3420), notice is hereby given of a State Undertaking. The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) is providing funding to the First Rockford Group (Owner) for the redevelopment of the Rockford Products Manufacturing Complex. The Illinois State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO) has determined that the complex is eligible for the National Register of Historic Places and that the undertaking will have an Adverse Effect on this historic property. The SHPO, DCEO, and Owner have consulted to resolve this adverse effect and have developed a draft Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) that stipulates mitigation measures. The primary mitigation consists of completing a photographic and historical background recordation (Recordation) of the Complex. A copy of the draft MOA is available for public review by contacting Marvin Keys, 815-229-3000, marvin@firstmidwestgroup.com. The public is invited to provide written comments on the adverse effect finding and the proposed mitigation measures detailed in the draft MOA.
