BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
LEGAL NOTICE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a meeting of the Township of Morris Board of Adjustment will be held on January 26, 2026 at 7:00 P.M. in person and viewable via Zoom in the Municipal Building, 50 Woodland Avenue, Township of Morris, New Jersey, at which meeting the application of Andrew & Kelly Gibbons for permission to build a new detached two-car garage with a recreation room above is scheduled to be heard.
Said property is known as Block 6004, Lot 3 on the Official Tax Map of the Township of Morris and is located at the following street address: 9 Norwood Ct.
The Board of Adjustment is being asked to grant the following variances from the provisions of the Municipal Land Use Ordinance:
Ordinance Section:95-28 Area, Bulk and Yard Requirements
Variance Relief being sought:
• The variance request is to reduce the side yard setback to10', whereas 25' is required, and;
• to reduce the combined side yard setback to 35.9, whereas 60' is required, and;
• a variance for an accessory building height of 24.5' is proposed whereas 15' is the maximum allowed.
• The applicant also requests confirmation of existing non-conforming conditions for the existing shed whereas the side and rear are 3.42' and .33' off the side and rear lot lines respectively and 25' and 35' are required.
The applicant will also apply for any other associated variances, approvals or waivers necessary for the approval of the application.
