CAMDEN CITY PLANNING BOARD
TAKE NOTICE that on January 8, 2026, at 6:00 PM, the Planning Board of the City of Camden, Camden County, New Jersey ("Board") took action and approved the application filed by Walnut Property Acquisition, LLC (the "Applicant") for Preliminary and Final Site Plan approval, with variances and waivers, for the construction of a proposed research and office facility at the property located at 1300 Walnut Street, Camden, New Jersey 08103 and designated as Block 367, Lots 1 and 6 as shown on the City of Camden Tax Map (the "Property") for the following project: Applicant is proposing to construct a new, state-of-the-art research and office facility, approximately 94,000 square feet in size and up to 65-feet high (four stories), along with related site improvements, including but not limited to off-street parking, landscaping, bulk tanks, emergency generators, and stormwater management infrastructure, as well as potential additional research or office space for third party users.
The Applicant offered testimony at a hearing before the Board on December 11, 2025, demonstrating that the proposed use will satisfy all of the requirements for granting a Site Plan with certain variances and waivers under the Land Development Ordinance of the City of Camden, the Gateway Redevelopment Plan, and the Amended Gateway Redevelopment Plan and the New Jersey Municipal Land Use Law, N.J.S.A. 44:55D-1 et seq.
The Board adopted a resolution at a scheduled meeting held on January 8, 2026, memorializing the decision of the Board on December 11, 2025, granting the application for preliminary and final site plan approval, subject to conditions as set forth in the memorializing resolution.
The application and plans mentioned above are on file in the office of the Camden City Planning Board, located at City Hall, Room 224, 520 Market Street, Camden, New Jersey 08102, and are available for inspection during regular business hours.
