PUBLIC NOTICE SOUTH POINT VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT The South Point Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. is holding its Annual Public Meeting to elect Board members on November, 18, 2025 at the Fire Department located at 2300 South Point Rd., Belmont, NC 28012. The meeting will begin at 7:00 PM and is being held to elect five (5) members to serve on the Board of Directors. Members of the the fire service district are encouraged to vote in this election. A real property owner whose primary residence is within the SPVFD service district, whose ad valorem taxes are current is defined as a member. One (1) vote per member household may be cast. A South Point Fire District member interested in applying as a candidate to serve a three (3) year term on the Board of Directors must meet eligibility requirements. In addition to member requirements, Board members must be twenty-five (25) years of age, a resident of the tax district for one (1) year, a non-immediate relative of other Directors, taxpayer member of the corporation not representing special interest groups and be available to attend evening meetings.
