PUBLIC NOTICE
WASHINGTON AND SOUTH STREET SIDEWALK
REHABILITATION
PEEKSKILL PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
Sealed proposals for the following construction work will be received by the, Peekskill Presbyterian Church, at the office of the Church, 705 South Street, Peekskill, NY 10566, until 10 a.m. prevailing time on Thursday, August 6, 2026, and immediately thereafter the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the said office. No proposals will be accepted after said time and date.
The scope of work includes the replacement of sidewalks and includes ancillary work such as signage, resetting parking meters and associated removals.
Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents may be obtained as of Friday, July 17, 2026, at the Peekskill Presbyterian Church website, https://peekskillpresby.org/ . All Addenda will be posted on the website as well.
Bids shall be made on the Proposal forms furnished with the Specifications, and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond acceptable by the Owner, in the amount of not less than 5% of the total amount of the Bid. Bidders who submit certified checks must accompany them with a Consent of Surety from a recognized Bonding Company. Checks shall be made payable to the Peekskill Presbyterian Church, New York and are to be held by Owner as a guarantee for the proper execution and delivery of the Contract and bonds to secure the faithful performance thereof. In default of such execution and delivery of Contract and Bonds, the amount of the deposit represented by the check shall be forfeited and retained by the Peekskill Presbyterian Church, as liquidated damages.
Proposals shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the Bidder, addressed to the Owner Board, Peekskill Presbyterian Church, New York and endorsed "WASHINGTON AND SOUTH STREET SIDEWALK REHABILITATION, Peekskill Presbyterian Church, New York."
The Peekskill Presbyterian Church reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any informality in any Bid, and to award the Contract to other than the lowest Bidder if deemed in the best interest of the Owner to do so.
Federal funds are utilized on this project and are subject to all the applicable requirements of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
