Rule 81 Summons Cause No: 2025-339 IN THE CHANCERY COURT OF HINDS COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI FIRST JUDICIAL DISTRICT IN THE MATTER OF THE ESTATE OF DETRICK DEMOND SMILEY, DECEASED CAUSE NO. 2025-0339 SUMMONS BY PUBLICATION THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI TO: "HEIRS OF DETRICK DEMOND SMILEY, DECEASED", absent or unknown Defendants, this cause shall be proceeded with as other causes in chancery, and upon satisfactory evidence as to death of said person and as to the fact that the parties to said suit are his sole heirs at law, the court shall enter a judgment that the persons so described be recognized as the heirs at law of such a decedent, and as such be placed in possession of his estate. And said judgment shall be evidence in all the courts of law and equity in this state that the persons therein named are the sole heirs at law of the person therein described as their ancestor. TAKE NOTICE that a hearing will be held in the Hinds County Chancery Court located at 407 E Pascagoula St. Jackson, MS 39201, before the Honorable Chancellor Tametrice E. Hodges-Linzey at 1:30 p.m. on January 27, 2025. And at said hearing you should appear and show cause, if any you can, why the relief sought by the Petitioner should not be granted by the Court.
