SHELL STONE TRAIL PROJECT INVITATION TO BID Sealed proposals will be received at the office of Stantec Consulting Services Inc., 6920 Professional Parkway, Sarasota, Florida, until 3:00 PM, Thursday, December 18, 2025, at which place and time all bids received for the Shell Stone Trail Project will be publicly opened and read aloud during a Microsoft Teams Meeting. Bids will only be accepted from pre-qualified contractors for the Lakewood Ranch Stewardship District. The work to be performed consists of providing all labor, materials, equipment, and all incidentals for construction of Shell Stone Trail Project. Additional related items of work may be included at a later date by the Change Order process. No bid received after the time and date will be considered. Each bid must be accompanied by a Cashier's Check or a Bid Bond in an amount not less than five percent of the base bid as a guarantee that the Bidder will not withdraw from the competition after the opening of the bids, and if awarded the contract, he will, within 10 consecutive calendar days after Notice of Award having been given, enter into a written contract with the OWNER, in accordance with the accepted bid. Should the successful Bidder fail to enter into the contract, the Cashier's Check or the Bid Bond shall be forfeited as liquidated damages. Any and all questions relative to this project shall be directed in writing only to Alexia McCartney at alexia.mccartney@stantec.com no later than Thursday, December 11, 2025 by 5:00 PM. The successful Bidder shall furnish a Performance and Guarantee Labor, Subcontractor and Material-Men Payment Bond each in the amount of the 100 percent (100%) of the base bid at time of execution of the contract. The Bid Bond, Performance Bond, and Payment Bond shall be obtained from an agency, Surety or Insurance Company, which shall have an establishment or place of business in the State of Florida, shall be duly licensed to conduct business therein, and shall be acceptable to the OWNER. All work shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications by Stantec Consulting Services Inc. (ENGINEER), which may be examined in the office of Stantec Consulting Services Inc., 6920 Professional Parkway, Sarasota, Florida, hereinafter known as the DISTRICT ENGINEER. A link to a SharePoint site containing the Contract Documents will be provided (via e-mail) by the DISTRICT ENGINEER no earlier than 24 hours following the pre-bid meeting. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held via a Microsoft Teams Meeting (roll will be taken) by the DISTRICT ENGINEER on Thursday November 20, 2025, at 10:00 AM.
