Skytop Lodge Sewage Treatment Plant Improvements Project

Skytop Lodge Sewage Treatment Plant Improvements Project Notice is hereby given that the Skytop Lodge, Inc. will apply to PENNVEST for funding necessary for the construction of Skytop Lodge Sewage Treatment Plant Improvements Project (Project). The Project is being considered by PADEP for a Categorical Exclusion from the State Environmental Review Process due to its limited impacts on the surrounding environment. The Project will be performed at the location of the current Skytop Lodge Sewage Treatment Plant, off of Falls Road in Barrett Township, Monroe County, PA. This project serves to upgrade the existing Sewage Treatment Plant to increase treatment efficiency and to remain in compliance with new NPDES Permit Requirements. Details of the Project are fully described in the PADEP Water Quality Management (WQM) Permit Application which was approved by PADEP on February 13, 2026. Sewer rates are not projected to increase as part of this Project. A 30-day public review and comment period is hereby established for this Project.
