Spencer-Owen Community Schools Notice of Public Meeting The Board of School Trustees of Spencer-Owen Community Schools has scheduled a public meeting on June 11, 2026, at 7:00 pm in the Mike Wells Memorial Board Room at Central Office, 205 E. Hillside Ave, Spencer, IN 47460. The purpose of this public meeting is to meet to discuss and hear objections to and support for the proposed Superintendent's contract. The basic terms of the Superintendent's Contract are as follows: Term: July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2028 Base Salary: $135,000 annual salary Paid Time Off: 16 paid leave days, 20 vacation days, 5 community service days, 5 professional development days, bereavement leave Insurance: Health, dental, and vision insurance for the Superintendent and eligible dependents; $3,000 annual HSA contribution; individual term life insurance and long- term disability insurance Other benefits: $2,500 stipend if Corporation receives a letter grade of "A" and $1,000 stipend if the Corporation receives a letter grade of "B"; annual dues for membership in district and state administrative associations; payment of ISTRF 3% contributions; retirement benefits including years of service retirement severance pay, unused sick leave pay, 1.5% annual contributions to a 401(a) qualified plan, and a $3,000 annual lump sum contribution to a 401(a) qualified plan if the Superintendent does not participate in the group health insurance plan and HSA; other benefits established by Board policy for administrative personnel and/or in the Master Teacher Contract.
