The City of Wilmington Department Public Works public meeting The City of Wilmington Public Works Department will apply for USEPA funds to clean up brownfields contamination in Northeast Wilmington at the historic Diamond State Salvage Yard (1300 N Spruce St). City residents are invited to attend the public meeting to review and provide comments about the draft application. The application can be viewed at the Department of Public Works in the Louis L. Redding City/County Building located at 800 North French Street from 8:30am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday beginning on January 21, 2026.
