The New Hampshire Coastal Program (NHCP) is reviewing the following activity for consistency with its enforceable policies: The New Hampshire Department of Transportation in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration is proposing to reconstruct three coastal revetment sections located between NH Route 1A and the Atlantic Ocean in the towns of North Hampton and Rye. The aging revetments have experienced repeated damage due to wave overtopping and erosion from storm events. The deadline for written comments on the above proposal is January 2, 2026.
