The New Hampshire Coastal Program (NHCP) is reviewing the following activity for consistency with its enforceable policies: The Federal Highway Administration is proposing to replace a failing culvert on Route 1A between Locke Road and Harbor Road in Rye. The existing stone box culvert is increasingly subject to tidal surges and storm-related flooding and is not adequate to withstand current or projected environmental conditions. The deadline for written comments on the above proposal is March 27, 2026.
