Langan, Attorney LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the 2026 Proposed Budgets of the Thornwood Fire District and Thornwood Fire Protection District # 1 of the Town of Mount Pleasant, State of New York, will be presented to the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Thornwood Fire District, and Thornwood Fire Protection District # 1 for their consideration. A PUBLIC HEARING will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Thornwood Fire District offices located at 770 Commerce Street, Thornwood in the Town of Mount Pleasant, and State of New York on the 21st day of October 2025. Pursuant to Town Law 105, the Board of Fire Commissioners must hold a public hearing on the budgets, make the proposed budgets available to the public prior to the public hearing, and allow the public to comment on the budgets at the public hearing. This public hearing must be held to allow maximum public participation in the budget process. The purpose of the public hearing is to allow any person to be heard in favor of or against the proposed budgets as submitted, or for or against any item or items contained in the proposed budgets, and hearing all persons interested in the subject proposed budgets. A copy of the proposed budgets are available at the Office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Mount Pleasant at 1 Town Hall Plaza, Valhalla, NY 10595 and copies will be available at the public hearing.
