TIPPECANOE COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the County of Tippecanoe County Economic Development Commission (the "Commission") will hold a public hearing pursuant to Indiana Code 36-7-12-24, August 4, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. (Eastern Time) at the Tippecanoe County Office Building, located at 20 North 3rd Street, Lafayette, Tippecanoe County, Indiana 47901, regarding (i) the proposed financing of economic development facilities, including, without limitation, the construction of a multifamily development and other related improvements and expenses, if any, on property in Tippecanoe County, Indiana (collectively, the "Project"), by The Ridge Group (TRG) (the "Developer"), in or physically connected to the Tippecanoe County Northwest Economic Development Area (the "Area"); (ii) the issuance of Taxable Economic Development Revenue Bonds, Series 2026 (Reserve at Millbrook Phase I Project) (the "Bonds") in the aggregate principal amount not to exceed [______________] Dollars ($[________]); and (iii) to consider whether this financing will have an adverse competitive effect on any similar facilities already constructed or operating in Tippecanoe County, Indiana (the "County").
The Bonds will be issued by the County pursuant to Indiana Code 36-7-11.9, 36-7-12, 36-7-14 and 36-7-25, and an ordinance adopted by the Tippecanoe County Council (the "Ordinance"). The Bonds will not be an indebtedness or general obligation of the County, the State of Indiana or any political subdivision thereof, nor payable in any manner by taxation, but are proposed to be payable from TIF Revenues (as defined in the Ordinance), collected in the Area, and as otherwise provided in the Ordinance, Trust Indenture and Financing Agreement.
At the time and place fixed for the public hearing, all taxpayers, residents or interested person will be given an opportunity to express their views for or against the proposed financing in writing or in person. Written comments may be submitted to the secretary of the Commission until September 22, 2023 by delivering such comments to Tippecanoe County Auditor Jennifer Weston.
If the Commission shall find, itself and on behalf of the County, that the proposed financing will be of a benefit to the health and welfare of the County and complies with the purposes and provisions of Indiana Code 36-7-11.9 and -12, the Commission will adopt a resolution approving the proposed financing and the form of financing documents, including the Bonds in the maximum aggregate principal amount not to exceed $[_________], and shall transmit the resolution to the Tippecanoe County Council for consideration together with the form of the Ordinance to be recommended to the Council.
