Town of Berlin Adopts Dog Licensing Ordinance 2025-1 The Town of Berlin has enacted Ordinance 2025-1 to update dog licensing and safety requirements. All dogs over five months old must be licensed annually. Fees are $12 for neutered/spayed dogs, $20 for unneutered/unspayed dogs, and $80 for kennel licenses. A $10 late fee applies if the license is not obtained by April 1 or within 30 days of acquiring a new dog. Proof of a valid rabies vaccination is required at the time of licensing. Service dogs for individuals who are blind, deaf, or mobility-impaired are exempt from the license fee with proof of a valid rabies vaccination. The ordinance takes effect the day after publication.
