Town of Boonsboro Notice of Public Hearing Notice is hereby given that on Monday, May 11, 2026 the Mayor & Council of Boonsboro will hold a Public Hearing at 7:00PM in the Town Annex Meeting Chambers (19 N. Main St., Boonsboro, MD) to receive public input on 1) Proposed Ordinance 2026-01; Adopt the FY27 Budgets, Tax Rates, and Water & Sewer Fees, 2) Repeal of Resolution No. 2024-02; Amend Fees for Connection to Water and Wastewater System, and 3) Proposed Resolution 2026-02; Amend Zoning Fee Schedule Public testimony is encouraged. Speakers will be allowed to address the Council for three minutes. A summary of the budgets is below: GENERAL FUND: Provides estimates for the Fiscal Year 2027 revenues based upon the tax rate of $0.3591 per $100.00 of assessed property value and Sanitation rate of $50 per quarter, as well as expenditures for Capital Improvements, Public Safety, Parks, and Administration. WATER AND SEWER FUNDS: Provides estimates for the Fiscal Year 2027 revenues and expenditures pertaining to Water and Sewer infrastructure and services, based on a tiered rate structure as follows: Sewer Fixed Fee: $77.00 per EDU 1-18000 gallons wastewater: $9.00/1000gal 18001+ gallons wastewater: $13.00/1000gal Water Fixed Fee: $45.00 per EDU in-town, $67.50 per EDU out-of-town 1-18000 gallons water: $6.20/1000gal in-town, $9.30/1000gal out-of-town 18001+ gallons water: $9.30/1000gal in-town, $11.30/1000gal out-of-town Sewer Connection Fee: $18,000 Water Connection Fee: $12,000 Documents associated with this Public Hearing may be reviewed during regular business hours at the Boonsboro Town Hall (21 N.
