NOTICE OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE
The following Ordinance described by title only will be placed on Second and Final Reading and Adoption at the Town Council Meeting of the Town of Cloud Lake, Florida to be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at the Cloud Lake Town Hall, 100 Lang Road, Cloud Lake, Florida.
ORDINANCE NO. 165
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF CLOUD LAKE, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 28 "ZONING" OF THE TOWN'S CODE OF ORDINANCES BY AMENDING ARTICLE I. IN GENERAL, SECTION 28-10 GENERAL PROVISIONS AND SUPPLEMENTARY DISTRICT REGULATIONS. TO CREATE NEW SUBSECTION (13) VACANT LOT MAINTENANCE AND A NEW SUBSECTION (14) CAMPING PROHIBITED; PROVIDING REQUIREMENTS AND CRITERIA FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF VACANT LOTS IN THE TOWN; PROVIDING A PROHIBITION OF CAMPING IN ALL ZONING DISTRICTS IN THE TOWN; PROVIDING AUTHORITY TO CODIFY; PROVIDING A CONFLICTS CLAUSE, A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
All interested parties are encouraged to attend and be heard. Copies of the full text of the proposed ordinance may be inspected by the public in the office of the Town Clerk in Town Hall, Monday through Friday, from 9:00am to 1:00pm or by contacting The Town Clerk at 561-686-2815. All interested parties may submit written or oral comments before or at the meeting.
Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes states if a person decides to appeal the decision of the Town Council with respect to any matter considered at the public hearing or meeting herein referred, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based. It shall be the responsibility of any person needing such a record to arrange for and obtain such a verbatim record at his or her own cost and expense. The Town of Cloud Lake does not prepare or provide such a record.
Pursuant to the provision of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), any person requiring special accommodations to participate in this meeting, because of a disability or physical impairment, should contact the Town Clerk, 561-686-2815, at least three (3) calendar days prior to the Hearing.
In accordance with the Sunshine Law of Florida, this meeting will be open to the public. Please be advised that you are entering a building which is equipped with security cameras which will record your activities while visiting. Entry into this building constitutes your consent to be so recorded.
