TOWNSHIP OF HOWELL NOTICE PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Fire Commissioners of Fire District No. 5, Township of Howell, County of Monmouth, State of New Jersey, at a special meeting scheduled for Monday, December 22, 2025, to be held between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., or longer if necessary, at Freewood Acres Firehouse, 17 East Fifth Street, Howell, New Jersey, shall determine whether it shall raise funds for one thousand five hundred feet of 1-3/4" hose in an amount not to exceed seven thousand five hundred dollars ($7,500.00), one thousand feet of 2-1/2" hose in an amount not to exceed ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00), five hundred feet of 5" hose in an amount not to exceed ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00), ten sets of turnout gear in an amount not to exceed forty thousand dollars ($40,000.00), Motorola portables in an amount not to exceed seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000.00), ten helmets in an amount not to exceed thirteen thousand dollars ($13,000.00), three Blowhard fans in an amount not to exceed twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00), E-tools in an amount not to exceed sixty thousand dollars ($60,000.00), HEN nozzles in an amount not to exceed eighteen thousand dollars ($18,000.00), APEX roof prop in an amount not to exceed twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00), five AEDs (automated external defibrillators) in an amount not to exceed twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00) and undercarriage cleaner in an amount not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) and, at said meeting, the legal voters shall determine, by secret and private ballot, the amounts to be raised for the above projects pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:14-84. The amounts determined to be raised at said time and place shall be included in the next annual budget of the Fire District under the section for capital appropriations. Formal action may be taken.
