TOWNSHIP OF LUMBERTON PLANNING BOARD
PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
A public hearing will be held before the Planning Board of the Township of Lumberton on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Township Municipal Complex located at 35 Municipal Drive, Lumberton, New Jersey 08048 on the application of D.R. Horton, Inc. – NJ ("Applicant"). The object of the hearing will be to consider the application for preliminary and final major site plan and subdivision approval to develop and construct 857 residential units on 709 lots to include 230 two-story townhouses, 20' x 47' (three bedrooms); 276 three-story townhomes, 20' x 36' (three bedrooms); 179 two-story townhouses, 28' x 61' (three bedrooms); and 172 affordable housing apartments consisting of 80 senior adult units (age restricted) and 92 family units (non-age restricted). The application will include storm water management basins, open space lots and other site improvements. The application is subject to the Eayrestown Road Redevelopment Plan and a Redevelopment Agreement between the Township of Lumberton and the Applicant. The Applicant is not seeking any variances or design waivers, however, if necessary, it will seek any variances, design waivers or approvals deemed necessary by the Planning Board or its professionals. The application is for the property located on Newbolds Corner Road and Eayrestown Road designated as Block 22, Lots 7.01 and 7.02 on the tax map of the Township of Lumberton. The property is located in the RA/S TDR Sending Area and the RA/R-6 TDR Receiving Area and contains approximately 412 acres.
The application and supporting documentation are on file with the Township of Lumberton Planning Board Secretary's office located at the Township Municipal Complex located at 35 Municipal Drive, Lumberton, New Jersey 08048 and are available for inspection by the public during regular business hours. This is a public hearing. Any interested parties may appear either in person or by an attorney at said hearing and participate therein in accordance with the rules of the Planning Board.
