Township of Riverside Notice and Certification of Pending Ordinance This Ordinance, the summary and terms of which are included herein, was introduced and passed upon the first reading at a Special Meeting of the Township Committee of the Township of Riverside, in the County of Burlington, State of New Jersey, on October 6, 2025. This Ordinance will be further considered for final passage, after public hearing thereon, at a meeting of the Governing Body to be held at the Riverside Township Municipal Building, 1 W. Scott Street in the Township of Riverside on October 20, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. During the week prior to and up to and including the date of such meeting, copies of the full Ordinance will be available at no cost and during the regular business hours at the Municipal Clerk's Office for the members of the general public who shall request the same. The summary and terms of such Ordinance are as follows: Title: 2025-#14 entitled, "AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ADOPTING A FIFTH AMENDMENT TO THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE SPECIAL DISTRICT #3 REDEVELOPMENT AREA PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40A:12A-7." Purpose: This Ordinance removes the requirement set forth in Section 255-90.D(12)(a) that "the Lot of use under Class 1 through Class 4 shall not abut the boundary of any residential zoning district or any property with a residential use" thereby permitting the previously authorized cannabis uses regardless of adjacency to residential zoning districts or residential uses.
