Truman Drive, NE -- Phase 2 Public Notice NOTICE TO PROPERTY OWNERS Notice is given that there is now on file for public inspection in the Office of the Clerk of Bondurant, Iowa a proposed resolution of necessity, an estimate of cost, and a plat and schedule in the amounts proposed to be assessed against each lot and the valuation of each lot within a District approved by the Council of Bondurant, Iowa for the Truman Drive NE- Phase 2 project, the type and the location as follows: The Truman Drive NE – Phase 2 project will consist of the construction of a new 2-lane street with left turn lanes and a vegetated median between the left turn lanes starting at the north end of Truman Drive NE – Phase 2 and continuing north a distance of approximate 3,400 feet to 16th Street NE. The assessable portion of the Truman Drive NE – Phase 2 project shall consist of the equivalent of two lanes proposed street improvements including the median, left turn lanes, grading, drainage improvements, a 5-foot sidewalk along the east side of the new street, a 10-foot trail along the west side of the street. It is considered that all properties within one quarter mile east and west of the above described segment of street to be improved will be specially benefitted from the improvement and should be specially assessed, all as shown on the preliminary assessment plat and schedule now on file for inspection in the Office of the City Clerk. The City Council will meet at 6 o'clock P.M. (6:00PM) on August 3, 2026 in the City Council Chambers of City Hall located at 200 2nd Street NE, Bondurant, Iowa 50035 at which time the property owners subject to assessment for the proposed improvement or any other person having interest in the matter may appear and be heard for or against the making of the improvement, the boundaries of the District, the cost, the assessment against any lot, or the final adoption of a resolution of necessity.
