VAR 25-01 Kopilec Variance in Dunes City
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
MAILED SEPTEMBER 11, 2025
Notice is hereby given that the following hearing will be held by the City Council, of Dunes City, Oregon at 6:00 PM on October 1, 2025, in Dunes City Hall, 82877 Spruce Street. The City Council will consider the following request:
1. Request for a variance to bring the north side yard setback down to 5' for placement of a carport.
Applicable Criteria Applying to this matter:
Chapter 155, Zoning and Development, Chapter 155.5.1.
Failure to raise an issue to afford the decision-maker and the applicant an opportunity to respond to the issue precludes the appeal to the Board based on that issue.
The evidence relied upon by the applicant and the applicable criteria are available for inspection at no cost, and a copy can be provided at reasonable cost, upon request. The staff report will be available for inspection at no cost at least seven (7) days prior to the hearing.
Written testimony and evidence must be directed toward the criteria describe above or other criteria in the Plan or Land Use Regulation which is believed to apply to that decision, and may be submitted to the Dunes City Hall Planning, P.O. A variance is a Type III land use review. A minimum of two hearings is required for a Type III application. The Planning Commission held a public hearing on this matter on September 4th and passed a motion to approve the variance. The City Council will hold the second hearing and make the final decision.
