NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED
ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT
This notice is to inform you that the Watertown Charter Township Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 3,2025, at 7:00 P.M. in the South Room at the Watertown Charter Township Hall, located at 12803 S. Wacousta Road, Grand Ledge, MI 48837, to consider a proposed amendment to the Watertown Charter Township Zoning Ordinance, Proposed Ordinance No. 61-Sign Ordinance. The following amendments will be considered:
Several amendments to delete and amend various sign regulations to comply with judicial rulings. These amendments have been reviewed for several months by the Planning Commission and include but are not limited to regulating locations, sizes, construction and displaying of signs, general sign provisions, exempted signs, nonconforming signs, and units of measurement.
The full text of the Watertown Charter Township Zoning Ordinance and the proposed amendments, Ordinance No. 61, may be inspected at the Watertown Charter Township office from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, or may be viewed on the Township website at
www.watertownmi.gov. Written comments may be directed to the Township Manager's office at the above address and will be received until the time of the public hearing. All written comments will become part of the official public hearing record.
