
On Wednesday, May 27th, 2026, Marielle Rae Carlos and Spenser Patrick Rook were united in holy matrimony on a private countryside estate in Callaway County, surrounded by their closest friends and family. Marielle and Spenser are Columbia-based rock musicians, high school sweethearts, and two of the founding members of riff-gaze indie band Tri-County Liquidators.
The presiding officiant was country artist, Anthony Wilkerson, who is also the drummer of Tri-County Liquidators, and is ranked in Fortnite. Bridesmaids were Marielle’s nieces, Natalie Sadin Sar and Halo Campbell, and the Maid of Honor was Marielle’s older sister, Maria Carlos. Groomsmen included guitarist of Tri-County Liquidators, Matt Hall, Marielle’s nephew and future pro-golfer, Kaiden Goosman, and the Best Woman was Spenser’s older sister, Mackenzie Rook. The Ring Bearer was Wyatt and Flower Girls were Sofia and Yusra.
The private and intimate wedding ceremony included songs by Otis Redding, Tears for Fears, Big Star, and Thin Lizzy. The reception featured a Filipino Tinikling dance performance by the Mizzou's Filipino Student Association and a Guitar Hero videogame station.
Spenser Rook is son of Mary and Randy Rook, and grandson of Sharon and Bud Easley, Joan Scott, and Aaron Rook. Marielle Carlos is daughter of Isabela and Fernando Carlos, little sister of Rowenna and Fernando Jr. Carlos, and granddaughter of Constancia and Juan Guzman, and Virginia and Anacleto Carlos.
The newlyweds plan to spend their honeymoon in the Philippines sometime in 2027. When asked about next plans, the happy couple highlighted releasing another EP with their best friends, a second tour to New York City in the Fall of this year, and starting a family as soon as possible.
