NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTIONS
Pursuant to the provisions of a resolution adopted by the Parish School Board of the Parish of Rapides, State of Louisiana (the "Governing Authority"), acting as the governing authority of (i) the Parish of Rapides, State of Louisiana, for school purposes, (ii) Pineville School District Number 52 of Rapides Parish, Louisiana, (iii) Poland School District Number 55 of Rapides Parish, Louisiana and (iv) Consolidated School District Number 62 of Rapides Parish, Louisiana (the "Parish and Districts"), on March 3, 2026, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that special elections will be held within the Parish and Districts on SATURDAY, JUNE 27, 2026, and that at the said elections there will be submitted to all registered voters in the Parish and Districts qualified and entitled to vote at the said elections under the Constitution and Laws of the State of Louisiana and the Constitution of the United States, the following propositions, to-wit:

Shall the Rapides Parish School Board, Rapides Parish, Louisiana, continue to levy a special tax of 12.06 mills on all property subject to taxation in the Parish of Rapides, State of Louisiana (the "Parish") (an estimated $14,310,000 reasonably expected at this time to be collected from the levy of the tax for an entire year), for a period of 10 years, beginning with the year 2027 and ending with the year 2036, for the purpose of giving additional support for the maintenance and operating of the public school system in the Parish?
PINEVILLE SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 52

Shall Pineville School District Number 52 of Rapides Parish, Louisiana (the "District"), continue to levy a special tax of 6.96 mills on all property subject to taxation in the District (an estimated $687,000 reasonably expected at this time to be collected from the levy of the tax for an entire year), for a period of 10 years, beginning with the year 2027 and ending with the year 2036, for the purpose of constructing, improving, maintaining and/or operating the public schools and public school system in the District?

Shall Poland School District Number 55 of Rapides Parish, Louisiana (the "District"), continue to levy a special tax of 4.71 mills on all property subject to taxation in the District (an estimated $76,000 reasonably expected at this time to be collected from the levy of the tax for an entire year), for a period of 10 years, beginning with the year 2027 and ending with the year 2036, for the purpose of constructing, improving, maintaining and/or operating the Food Preservation Laboratory and programs in connection therewith in the District, including the payment of salaries therefor?

Shall Poland School District Number 55 of Rapides Parish, Louisiana (the "District"), continue to levy a special tax of 4.17 mills on all property subject to taxation in the District (an estimated $67,100 reasonably expected at this time to be collected from the levy of the tax for an entire year), for a period of 10 years, beginning with the year 2027 and ending with the year 2036, for the purpose of constructing, improving, maintaining and/or operating schools in the District and facilities and programs in connection therewith?

Shall Poland School District No. 55 of Rapides Parish, Louisiana (the "District"), continue to levy a special tax of 2.09 mills on all property subject to taxation in the District (an estimated $34,000 reasonably expected at this time to be collected from the levy of the tax for an entire year), for a period of 10 years, beginning with the year 2027 and ending with the year 2036, for the purpose of constructing, improving, maintaining and/or operating the Food Preservation Laboratory and programs in connection therewith in the District, including payment of salaries therefor?

Shall Consolidated School District Number 62 of Rapides Parish, Louisiana (the "District"), continue to levy a special tax of 4.27 mills on all property subject to taxation in the District (an estimated $2,312,000 reasonably expected at this time to be collected from the levy of the tax for an entire year), for a period of 10 years, beginning with the year 2027 and ending with the year 2036, for the purpose of constructing, improving, maintaining and/or operating the public schools and public school system in the District?

Shall Consolidated School District Number 62 of Rapides Parish, Louisiana (the "District"), continue to levy a special tax of 4.25 mills on all property subject to taxation in the District (an estimated $2,301,000 reasonably expected at this time to be collected from the levy of the tax for an entire year), for a period of 10 years, beginning with the year 2027 and ending with the year 2036, for the purpose of constructing, acquiring, extending, improving, maintaining and/or operating the public schools and public school system in the District?
The said special elections for the Parish School Board will be held at each and every polling place in the Parish of Rapides, which polls will open at seven o'clock (7:00) a.m. and close at eight o'clock (8:00) p.m., in accordance with the provisions of La. R.S. 18:541.
The said special election for Pineville School District No. 52 will be held at the polling places at the following precincts which polls will open at seven o'clock (7:00) a.m. and close at eight o'clock (8:00) p.m., in accordance with the provisions of La. R.S. 18:541, to wit:

The polling places for the precincts in the Parish and Districts are hereby designated as the polling places at which to hold the said elections, and the Commissioners-in-Charge and Commissioners, respectively, shall be those persons designated according to law.
The estimated cost of the Parish School Board election as determined by the Secretary of State based upon the provisions of Chapter 8-A of Title 18 and actual costs of similar elections is $157,600.
The estimated cost of the Pineville School District No. 52 election as determined by the Secretary of State based upon the provisions of Chapter 8-A of Title 18 and actual costs of similar elections is $36,500.
The estimated cost of the Poland School District Number 55 election as determined by the Secretary of State based upon the provisions of Chapter 8-A of Title 18 and actual costs of similar elections is $14,700.
The estimated cost of the Consolidated School District Number 62 election as determined by the Secretary of State based upon the provisions of Chapter 8-A of Title 18 and actual costs of similar elections is $82,400.
Notice is further given that a portion of the monies collected from the taxes described in the Propositions shall be remitted to certain state and statewide retirement systems in the manner required by law.
The said special elections will be held in accordance with the applicable provisions of Chapter 5 and Chapter 6-A of Title 18 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, as amended, and other constitutional and statutory authority, and the officers appointed to hold the said elections, as provided in this Notice of Special Elections, or such substitutes therefor as may be selected and designated in accordance with La. R.S. 18:1287, will make due returns thereof to said Governing Authority, and NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the Governing Authority will meet at its regular meeting place, the Parish School Board Office Building, 619 Sixth Street, Alexandria, Louisiana, on TUESDAY, JULY 7, 2026, at 5:00 P.M., and shall then and there in open and public session proceed to examine and canvass the returns and declare the results of the said special elections. All registered voters of the District are entitled to vote at said special elections and voting machines will be used.
