REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS OF DESIGN BUILD FIRMS   The Board of Trustees of the Jayton-Girard Independent School District is requesting qualifications for design build services by a qualified construction firm (Design-Builder) relating to the design and construction of one (1) 1680 square foot 3-bedroom/2-bathroom residence [ready built or pier-&-beam constructed on current site] to be used as a teacherage.   Statements of Qualifications will be accepted until 12:00 pm on Friday May 8, 2026. Interested parties may request an information packet from Nelson Coulter, Interim Superintendent, at ncoulter@jaytonjaybirds.com. Please enclose eight (8) copies of your completed response with the appropriate annotation. All responses are due no later than the deadline at the following address:   Jayton-Girard ISD ATTN: Nelson Coulter, Interim Superintendent 700 Madison Ave Jayton, TX 79528   All responses must be annotated with the following:   DESIGN-BUILD SERVICES-TEACHERAGE (HOME) RFQ #2026-02   Failure to have a response physically in the possession of the District by the deadline shall result in the response not being considered.   The selection of the design build firm shall be in accordance with Texas Government Code 2269, Subchapter G, as it currently exists or may hereafter be amended or replaced.   WAIVER OF CLAIMS: BY TENDERING A RESPONSE TO THIS RFQ, THE RESPONDER ACKNOWLEDGES THAT IT HAS READ AND FULLY UNDERSTANDS THE REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBMITTING A RESPONSE AND THE PROCESS USED BY THE DISTRICT FOR SELECTING THE BEST QUALIFIED DESIGN-BUILD FIRM FOR THE ABOVE PROJECT. FURTHER, BY SUBMITTING A RESPONSE, THE RESPONDER FULLY, VOLUNTARILY AND UNDERSTANDINGLY WAIVES AND RELEASES ANY AND ALL CLAIMS AGAINST THE DISTRICT AND ANY OF ITS SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS, AGENTS AND/OR EMPLOYEES THAT COULD ARISE OUT OF THE ADMINISTRATION, EVALUATION, OR RECOMMENDATION OF ANY RESPONSE SUBMITTED IN RESPONSE TO THIS RFQ.
