ADDENDUM #1 BID 2026-05 SOLID WASTE & RECYCLING COLLECTION Borough of Seaside Park, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey July 21, 2026 PLEASE BE ADVISED OF THE FOLLOWING: This addendum is being issued on July 21, 2026, in response to bidder questions raised at the non-mandatory pre-bid conference: 1. While data of tonnage is limited for this area, the following tonnage has been reported: May 2026 (5/18/26 – 5/28/26) – 2x week collection: 25.04 tons (ID10) June 2026 (6/1/26 – 6/29/26) – 2x week collection: 64.69 tons (ID10) 2. Tires are not part of solid waste collection. The Borough has a tire recycling program. If tires are placed at the curb, the driver should create a list and provide it to Public Works. Please see the amendment to the wording in the specification below. 3. The contract date listed was August 1, 2026. This date will be amended to September 1, 2026. However, please note that this date can be affected by the award date, contractor review, and attorney review. The estimated date of the contract effective date is September 1, 2026. Please see the amendment to the wording in the specification below. 4. Bid Proposal Options 1 – 2 for Solid Waste Collection, erroneously depict 1x week collection for 7 months, and should be corrected to 2x week collection. The amended proposals are attached hereto. 5. In the event that Public Works is able to handle solid waste disposal and recycling in the off-season, Options 5, 6, 7, and 8 have been added, and are attached to this addendum. The original bid specifications for the above project issued on June 10, 2026 is hereby amended by Addendum No. 1. CHANGE: 5.1 "Collection Options," page 16, paragraph 2, sentence 1, shall be deleted and amended to read as follows: The contractor will remove and dispose of all garbage and trash which is defined to be inclusive of: Garbage, trash, and discarded household items. CHANGE: 5.1 "Collection Options", page 16, paragraph 3, shall be deleted and amended to read as follows: Please note: Residents are permitted to leave brush, trees, and/or Christmas trees next to their regular garbage for separate collection. The contractor is not responsible for picking up these items but shall provide a list of addresses to the Public Works Department of residents who placed brush, trees, and/or Christmas trees at the curb for collection. The contractor is not responsible for picking up bulk items, electronics, or scrap metal, but shall provide a list of addresses to the Public Works Department of residents who placed bulk items, electronics, or scrap metal at the curb for collection. CHANGE: 1.1 "The Bid", page 5, paragraph 1, shall be deleted and amended to read as follows: The Borough of Seaside Park is soliciting bid proposals from solid waste collectors interested in providing solid waste collection and/or disposal services for a period of one (1) year, commencing on September 1, 2026 and ending on August 31, 2027 or two (2) years, to commence on September 1, 2026 and ending on August 31, 2028 in accordance with the terms of these Bid Specifications and N.J.A.C. 7:26H-6 et seq. No change has been made to the bid opening date or time. BIDDER NOTES: All bidders must complete the Acknowledgement of Receipt of Addenda and submit the form contained within the proposal documents and submit this form with their bid proposal. This shall be Addendum #1, issued on July 21, 2026, and the Title or Description shall be Addendum #1. Please also acknowledge receipt of the Addendum by 1) faxing a copy of the signed Addendum to Jenna Jankowski, Municipal Clerk at 732-793-3737 before the bid opening date, 2) emailing a copy of the signed addendum to Jenna Jankowski, Municipal Clerk at jjankowski@seasideparknj.org before the bid opening date, or 3) include the signed Addendum #1 with your bid submission.
