NEWSPAPER NOTICE THE NEW JERSEY DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A CAFRA INDIVIDUAL PERMIT Take notice that an application for a Coastal Area Facility Review Act (CAFRA) Individual Permit will be submitted to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP), Division of Land Resource Protection for the development described below: APPLICANT: Heritage Solar Farm, LLC PROJECT NAME: Proposed Solar Panel Array PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Applicant seeks to construct a solar panel array and associated access road, access ramps, and security fencing within a proposed subdivision. The proposed solar panel array will be situated on a Proposed Cap Area (PCA) that consists of processed soil associated with its historic use for ore mining, which has been blended with clean soil to remediate Technically Enhanced Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (TENORM) under NJDEP Contaminated Sites Remediation and Redevelopment (CSRR) and Bureau of Environmental Radiation (BER) programs. The project also includes the construction of a subsurface interconnect, which will connect to an existing overhead Jersey Central Power and Light (JCP&L) electric utility line to the southwest of the subdivision.
