ANNUAL ACTION PLAN PUBLIC NOTICE The City of Alexandria’s Community Development Department will conduct a Public Hearing on Thursday, June 15, 2026, 3:00 pm in the Community Development Conference Room, Third Floor, 625 Murray Street. The purpose of this hearing is to allow citizens thirty (30) calendar days to provide comments to the draft proposed of the City’s PY2026-2027 Annual Action Plan. The public comment period that shall begin on May 15, 2026 and end on June 15, 2026, at 4:00 pm. Each year an Action Plan is developed from the goals and strategies stated in the Five (5) Year Consolidated Plan. The 2026-2027 Annual Action Plan provides information concerning the resources that the City reasonably expects to be available from Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for $508,887.00 and HOME Investment Partnership for $260,651.61 in program funds for the upcoming federal fiscal year. It further describes the specific activities that will be funded in the program year to carry out the stated goals and any prior year resources that will be reallocated to the current Plan. All proposed uses are consistent with the City’s 2025-2030 Consolidated Plan and HUD regulations. Interested persons can download the proposed draft Annual Action Plan from the City’s website: www.cityofalexandriala.com/community-development, then look for the “Annual Action Plan” tab on the right side of the screen. A copy may also be provided by visiting our office during normal business hours. All comments will be given careful consideration prior to any further action on the part of the City towards plan implementation. Comments received after 4:00 PM on June 22, 2026 will not be considered. For persons with disabilities who need reasonable accommodation, please contact our office by June 12th to make arrangements.
