PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE   PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Planning Board of the Township of South Brunswick (the “Township”), Middlesex County, New Jersey, will hold a public hearing on March 11, 2026 at 7:00 pm, and will be located in the Main Meeting Room at the Township of South Brunswick Municipal Building, 540 Ridge Road, Monmouth Junction NJ.   PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the Planning Board of the Township of South Brunswick is undertaking a preliminary investigation to determine whether the area known and described as Said area consists of properties identified as Block 29.02 Lot 38.08, 45 Deans Rhode Hall Road, Block 29.02 Lot 38.09, 47 Deans Rhode Hall Road, on the Township’s tax map (the “Properties”) to be an area in need of redevelopment according to the criteria set forth in section 5 of Public Law 1992, c.79 (N.J.S.A. 40A:12A -5). Any Redevelopment Area determination shall be a “Non-Condemnation Redevelopment Area” as defined in N.J.S.A. 40A:12A-6, and shall authorize the Township to use all those powers provided by the Legislature for use in a redevelopment area other than the use of eminent domain.   PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE this public hearing is being held pursuant to the Redevelopment Law, which authorizes municipal governing bodies to designate certain areas of the municipality as being in need of redevelopment.   PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, after review by the Planning Board at the hearing described herein, a finding by the Township Council that the Property constitutes an area in need of redevelopment shall operate as a finding of public purpose but shall not authorize the municipality to exercise the power of eminent domain to acquire property in the delineated area.
