U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to Hold A Public Meeting
Edison and Woodbridge Townships, New Jersey – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has scheduled a public meeting to present information on the Proposed Plan for the Commercial/Industrial Area – Munitions and Explosives of Concern in Soil (C/I MEC Area) at the former Raritan Arsenal, a Formerly Used Defense Site, located in the townships of Edison and Woodbridge, New Jersey. The public meeting will be held on April 15, 2026, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m at the Edison Township Senior Center, 2963 Woodbridge Avenue, Edison, NJ 08837. Interested members of the public are invited to attend.
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers representatives will be available to answer any questions. The meeting slideshow and documents related to the Proposed Plan for the munitions and explosives of concern in soil attributable to historical Army activities at the Commercial/Industrial Area of the Former Raritan Arsenal are available for review through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers website for the former Raritan Arsenal (https://www.nae.usace.army.mil/missions/projects-topics/former-raritan-arsenal/) or at the Information Repository: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – New York District, 2890 Woodbridge Avenue, Edison, NJ 08818. The public comment period will be open from April 14, 2026, to May 18, 2026.
