NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING: the Village Board of the Village of Port Dickinson, Broome County, New York will hold a public hearing at 6:00 pm on April 14, 2026 at the Village Hall, 768 Chenango Street in the Village, on the adoption of "A LOCAL LAW REGARDING LIABILITY FOR INJURIES ON ACCOUNT OF SNOW AND ICE ON SIDEWALKS." The proposed local law would require owners or occupants of property to remove snow and ice within 24 hours, authorize removal by the Village to remove, and limit the Village's liability relating to snow and ice. The public may address communications in writing about this local to the Village Board at the Village Hall (768 Chenango Street in the Village) before the hearing date or at the public hearing. People with disabilities who require assistance in attending the public hearing or in furnishing comments should contact the undersigned to request assistance.
